Placement Selection
The Manager of Placement Services at Bridgeway Family Homes knows each Foster Family, communicates on a regular basis with all families and manages the new Foster Parent pre-service assessment and orientation processes. This person also coordinates the training and development program for all Foster Parents, and participates in all quality assurance measures involving the foster care program. Bridgeway believes that having an intimate knowledge of the Foster Families is essential for making the best placement matches possible for each referral by the Agency Placement Workers.
Bridgeway is committed to:
- Responsible matching of a child’s need to the foster home that can best provide for those needs
- Giving attention and due consideration to geographical requests
- Making informed and careful decisions about the appropriate foster care program for every child (PM, PMP, MM, MM Plus)
- Receiving as much background, and current information on each child referred by the agency
- Sharing full and complete information with the agency worker regarding each Foster Family that is being considered
- Thorough communication with agency and with Foster Parents
- Respecting the Foster Parents as a significant part of the “team” that makes a placement decision
