Behaviour Specialists

Behavioural Specialists (BSp) are available 24/7 for emergency crisis intervention. They can provide client assessments and behavioural profiling. BSp are able to provide training and coaching to foster parent therapists. They can also provide life skills and anger management training for children/youth. Behavioural Specialists are contracted by Bridgeway to intervene, respond to and stabilize the foster care placement. Foster Parents are motivated to follow through on the recommendations given to further develop the necessary skills to respond to and manage the behaviours associated with the wide variety of child/youth diagnosis such as:

  • ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)
  • Attachment Disorder
  • Anxiety Disorder/OCD (Obsessive/Compulsive Disorder)
  • Depression/ Mood Disorder
  • FASD(Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder)
  • LDs (Learning Disabilities)
  • MID (Mild Intellectual Delays)
  • ODD (Oppositional/Defiance Disorder)/Conduct Disorder
  • PDD (Pervasive Developmental Delays)/Autism
