Since 2014, our field practicum program has been designed to immerse future professionals in the heart of child welfare work, offering hands‑on learning, thoughtful mentorship, and opportunities to contribute in ways that matter. CHILD & YOUTH WORK (CYW)
A flexible, hands‑on placement within our Support Services division designed for students who want direct experience with children, youth, and foster families.
Field Practicum Advantages for CYW Students:
◆ Supervised experiences with Family Support Professionals in a Foster Home and in the community
◆ Flexibility to choose projects aligned with your interests
◆ One‑on‑one and peer supervision
◆ Plan and co‑facilitate weekly sessions

SOCIAL WORK (BSW/MSW)
A flexible, research‑friendly placement within our Clinical Services division designed for students who want individualized learning and professional autonomy.

HANDS-ON LEARNING
Bridge academic learning with foster care practice through observation, research, analysis, one-on-one engagement, and meaningful project work.

Gain exposure to the inner workings of service environments by participating in meetings, contributing to clinical assessments, and observing professional interviews.

FUTURE PATHWAYS
Prepare for future careers in social services, with potential post-practicum opportunities to continue your journey through a part-time contracted role with Bridgeway Support Services.
