TRANSPORTATION SERVICE
Bridgeway has a fully developed Transportation Service that is responsive, reliable, and accountable. Volunteer Drivers are available 7 days a week, 362 days a year to transport Foster Children, Youth, and Young Adults to access visits and respite homes.
This service was created to support our Foster Parents when they have multiple drives each week or when children need to be in different places at the same time and no adjustment to schedules can be made.
When Foster Parents have emergencies or become ill, we make every effort to accommodate short-notice drives. The flexibility and dependability of our Volunteer Drivers ease the burden on our Foster Parents during their most challenging times.
SAFETY ON AND OFF THE ROAD
Our Services Coordinators communicate promptly with drivers and families about last-minute cancellations and inclement weather conditions that pose a safety risk.
CAR/BOOSTER SEATS PROVIDED
Parents don't need to worry about uninstalling or sharing car/booster seats. Our drivers are provided with their own seats and receive training in how to properly install and use them.
SUPERVISION & ACCOUNTABILITY
Foster Children and Youth are accompanied and delivered into the hands of an adult at their destination. Drivers carry Bridgeway identification at all times.
Volunteer Drivers help caregivers by providing safe and comfortable drives to access visits, respite homes, and other locations.
