PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT

Every child deserves a champion – an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best they can possibly be.

- Rita F. Pierson

Children, youth, and young adults in foster care are facing a wide range of social, emotional, behavioural, and academic challenges. To meet these diverse needs, we seek highly skilled, well-matched professionals who are available to provide services primarily after school and on weekends. Support may be one-to-one, with a sibling group, or with the entire family.

The work we do is anchored in trust and partnership. As a Support Professional, you will collaborate with Foster Parents and their Bridgeway team, participate in clinical consultations, and contribute to meetings and plans of care relevant to the children and youth they work with. Support Professionals are an integral part of the team that creates stability and increases placement longevity for Foster Children and Youth.

PROFESSIONAL BENEFITS OF PROVIDING SUPPORT:

  • Competitive hourly rates with compensation for mileage and expenses

HOW SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS ENRICH THE LIVES OF FOSTER CHILDREN & FAMILIES

CHILDREN ARE RESILIENT

Bridgeway receives the most traumatized and high-risk placements. Your skills and expertise will be intentionally matched to the children/youth that need you most. With the right support systems in place, children overcome and thrive.

FOSTER FAMILIES ARE DEVOTED

The family home is the most therapeutic and healing environment for Foster Children and Youth. You will collaborate with the Foster Parent to help address challenges, develop the child's strengths, and meet goals.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Being a Support Professional is so much more than working a shift. With Bridgeway, you become part of a multi-disciplinary professional team and will have opportunities to contribute to treatment planning and interventions.
